4.2.5 Source Function

4.2.5.2 Restrictions on Switching Source Function
Switching the source function has the following restrictions:
1. While operating with DC source, switching between VS and IS causes Suspend status.
2. Switching between VS and IS is impossible during sweeping in the sweep source mode. They can be
switched when sweeping is stopped. Switching VS and IS causes Suspend status.
4.2.5.3 Source Range
• DC source mode: Outputs the source value in the displayed range.
• Sweep source mode: Outputs the source value in the fixed range in which all the setting values
including the source value can be output.
• Memory recall mode: Outputs the source value in the range stored in the memory number.
4.2.5.4 Polarity Change and Zero
1. There are two ways to change the polarity:
• Press the key or the key on the POLARITY section.
• Press the key using in the direct data input mode.
2. Type of zero
There are two types of zero value; +0 and -0. "+0" is output with positive polarity, and "-0" is output
with negative polarity.
3. Sweep operation including zero
For sweep operation including zero, the zero value varies depending on sweeping from positive to
negative or from negative to positive.
Sweeping from positive to negative: +0
Sweeping from negative to positive: -0
4.2.5.5 Operate/Standby/Suspend
1. Shifting between Operate, Standby, and Suspend
There are three types of output status; Operate, Standby and Suspend.
Operate: The output relays are closed and the source value is output.
Standby: The output relays are opened. (Only LO OUTPUT is ON in Standby mode 1.)
Suspend: The output relays are closed and zero is output.
The following figure shows shifting between Operate, Standby and Suspend
