Operating Your Valve System
You operate your valve units and pumps either manually or remotely. Your
software handbooks also describe remote operation.
Table 3 on page 17 shows the Physical Specifications Valve Pump Controller
and Table 4 on page 18 the Performance Specifications Valve Pump Controller.
Table 5 on page 19 shows the Physical Specifications Valve Unit and Table 6 on
page 19 the Performance Specifications Valve Unit.
Before operating your units check the cables are connected and the
installation is complete, see “Connecting Cables” on page 44.
Operating Your Valve Unit
To turn on line power:
1 Press the line power switch on the front of the valve-pump controller.
Switching Between Remote and Manual Mode
The Remote/Manual switch is at the rear of the valve unit.
1 Press switch down for remote mode.
2 Press switch up for manual mode.
The status lamp on the front of the valve unit is on when the valve unit is in
remote mode. You use remote mode to operate the valve unit through your
software.
Do not leave solutions with samples or salts in the tubings overnight or for long periods
when not pumping.
Clean the tubing with clean solvent when not pumping for long periods, refer to “Cleaning
Tubing and Valve” on page 91.
