Installing a Valve-based Sampling System
3 Connect the flow cell to the pump, see Figure 6 on page 32. Connect the
0.5 m tubing with the short cell fitting to the outlet of the flow cell, and
insert the conical adapter into the pump tubing on the inlet side of the
pump.
4 Connect the valve unit to the flow cell. Connect the 1.4 m or 2.2 m tubing
with the long cell fitting to the inlet (marked with
↓ ) of the flow cell.
Connect the valve fitting to the valve outlet.
5 Connect pump to waste. Insert the conical adapter into the pump tubing on
the outlet side of the pump and put the transparent fitting into a waste
beaker.
Replacing Tubing
General instructions for attaching new fittings to tubing are provided in a
replacement PTFE tubing kit (part number 5041-2191). This kit contains 10 m
of PTFE tubing.
To minimize carry over, use the 1.4 m tubing.
