AMPS/136 Mobile Measurements
Measuring IQ Tuning
This measurement can only be performed with the mobile on a digital traffic channel.
1. Establish a call on a digital traffic channel. If the mobile is configured in test
mode, which is typically the case for this measurement, use the following steps:
a. Set the test set’s Operating Mode (
F1) to DTC Test.
b. Put the mobile into digital test mode.
2. Press the
Measurement selection key.
3. Select the IQ Tuning measurement.
4. Press the IQ Tuning Setup (
F1) key.
5. Press the Measurement Setup (
F1) key.
6. Set the measurement parameters as needed for your measurement situation,
including: Multi-Measurement Count = 50 (not required, but used in this
example)
7. Press the IQ Tuning Offset Freqs (
F2) key and enter the desired offset
frequencies.
8. Set the mobile to transmit a pattern of 00 (00, 00, 00, ...).
The results are displayed on the IQ Tuning screen. Notice that when the mobile is
transmitting a series of all zeros the carrier offset is at +3037.50 Hz.
