Boot Up Problems
• No power
• If power indicators, power switch or display panel are not illuminated,
check the fuses at the rear of the control drawer.
• Fails to initialize pump
• Check that the pump power switch is turned on.
• Check the power cable is securely fitted to the rear of the pump.
• Check the pump serial link is connected correctly to both the rear of the
pump and the back of the PL-GPC 220 Control drawer.
• Injection valve failure
• Check that the Link cables on the rear of the Control drawer are
connected correctly.
• If problem persists please contact your local Agilent service
representative.
• Autosampler general error
• Observe initialization sequence for autosampler:
• Lower vial if lift not at bottom
• Move syringe to position 1 (max suction)
• Rotate carousel to Vial 0 position
• Check that a vial is present
• Raise vial
• Move syringe to position 3 (max blow)
• Wait 30 s
• Lower vial
• Move syringe to position 2 (middle)
If all steps appear to succeed, it is probably only a transient problem.
If not, note which step fails. See “Autosampler Problems” on page 59 for corrective actions.
