7 Maintenance
Testing Vapor Sensors
Solvent Module Vapor Sensor Test
1 Ensure that the front flap on the solvent module is closed.
2 Place the paper on the floor of the solvent compartment (see Figure on
page 82).
3 Squirt 5.0 mL of acetone onto the paper and immediately close the solvent
module lid.
After a few seconds both the solvent module and oven module alarms will
sound and an error notification will appear on the Control software.
4 Open the solvent module front flap and check that the pump and degasser
module are powered down.
5 If the alarm condition does not occur or if the pump and degasser remain
powered while the solvent module vapour alarm condition exists then
switch off and disconnect the power cords from both units.

Absorbent paper (crumpled into a loose ball)
Acetone
Syringe
Preparations Switch ON the PL-GPC 220 if necessary and set it to IDLE mode with the oven temperature set to
40 °C.
