Oven Vapor Sensor Test
1 Heat the oven to 40 °C in IDLE or RUN mode with a pump flow rate of
0.5 mL/min.
2 Open the solvent module lid and lift the end of the solvent return tube just
out of the liquid so that you can see the solvent dripping into the bottle.
3 Check the vapour sensor threshold is set to 5.0 mL/min (in the oven
configuration window)
4 Set the instrument to STANDBY mode (click OK to confirm).
5 Open the outer and inner oven lids and place the paper on the floor of the
oven near the RI, far away from the spiral heater and fan (see “Oven Vapor
Sensor Test” on page 84).
6 Squirt 5.0 mL of acetone onto the paper and immediately close both lids.
7 Set the instrument to IDLE mode.
After a short period the oven module alarm will sound and a vapor error
notification will appear in the Control software.
