General Safety Information
Precautions
The PL-GPC 220 is designed to control the temperature of the column oven
and autosampler at temperatures up to 220 °C.
Vapor sensors are used in both modules of the PL-GPC 220 to alert the
operator to solvent leaks.
Fire, intoxication and damage to the instrument
Hazardous material on or inside the instrument.
➔ Do not use the instrument if material is split on or inside the instrument.
➔ Carry out appropriate decontamination method recommended by Agilent
Technologies.
➔ If using methods not recommended by Agilent Technologies, check with Agilent
Technologies that the method will not damage the instrument.
➔ Perform periodic leak checks on all wetted components, tubing and joints.
➔ Test the over temperature protection systems for the solvent module, oven and
autosampler on a regular basis.
➔ Do not allow flammable and/or toxic solvents to accumulate.
➔ Follow recommended procedures and protocols for evacuation and disposal of
flammable or toxic solvents. Never dispose of such products through municipal
waste systems.
Hot surfaces
