FAULT

REMEDY
Machine does not start
Rope switch may be stuck as
pressed.
Check the rope switch.
Thermal fuse may be blown.
Check the thermal fuse.
Oil level may be low.
Check oil level.
Machine starts, but rolls do not
move
Electric motor may be connected
in reverse
Check electric motor connections.
Pressure valve relay may be faulty.
Is power supplied to pressure
valve?
Control circuit voltage 24V DC-AC.
Check it.
Motor-Pump coupling may be
faulty.
Check the coupling by removing the
motor.
Pumps may be faulty.
Check it.
Pump pressure lines may be
removed.
Check it.
ROLLS rotate, but no other
movement is available. Side rolls
do not move (conically and
up/down)
Is power supplied to pressure
valve?
Check by removing the connectors.
Pressure valve relay may be faulty
Is power supplied to pressure
valve?
Pressure valve fuse may be blown.
Check the fuse.
Pipe of the pump pressure line
may be removed.
Remove the pump and inspect it.
Pressure safety valve may be
faulty.
Check the pressure safety valve.
Any of the valves in the system
may be stuck.
Check the valves manually.
Secondary pump may be faulty.
Check it.
Only the lower roll does not move
up
Lower roll valve is not powered.
Check the lower roll valve relay and
fuse.
Lower roll pressure setting is very
low.
Adjust the pressure to 30 bar
minimum for movement.
Lower roll leaks
Modular twin lock may leak.
Check it.
Pressure safety valve may leak.
Check it.
There may be an oil leak.
Check it.
Cylinder seals may be leaking.
Check it.
Check the return filter
If the contamination indicator is
red, replace the filter element.
