TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE FOR REDUCERS
All specified operations shall be performed by experienced electric or machinery technicians.

Reducer
is not
working
You do not hear a noise
and reducer output shaft
does not operate. You do
not use a driver or
frequency inverter.
Check the supply voltage and frequency. Ratings on the
motor data plate and supply voltage shall be matching.
Refer to operation manual provided by the manufacturer
of motor. Refer to procedure no. 100 if it does operate
against all attempts.

Reducer
is not
working
You do not hear a noise
and reducer output shaft
does not operate. You are
using a driver or frequency
inverter.
Refer to operation manual of the driver or frequency
inverter. Detach motor from frequency inverter/driver
and supply it directly, determine if the error is caused by
frequency inverter/driver. Refer to procedure no. 100 if it
does operate against all attempts.

Reducer
is not
working
You do not hear a noise
and reducer output shaft
does not operate. You do
not use a driver/inverter
or magnetic brakes.
Check the supply voltage and frequency. Ratings on the
motor data plate and supply voltage shall be matching.
Refer to operation manual provided by the manufacturer
of motor. Load may be excessive for the motor selected if
it does operate against all attempts. Detach output shaft
of the reducer from load. If it operates in this condition,
problem may be caused by inadequate motor power.
Check the operation and starting condensers for single-
phased motors. Refer to procedure no. 100 if it does
operate against all attempts.

does not operate. You are
using a driver or frequency
inverter.
Refer to operation manual of the driver or frequency
inverter. Detach motor from frequency inverter/driver
and supply it directly, determine if the error is caused by
frequency inverter/driver. Refer to procedure no. 100 if it
does operate against all attempts.
