Upgrading System Firmware
About the Upgrade
When a new version of system firmware becomes available, you can download it from
our Web site, http://www.appliedbiosystems.com/2720. Instructions for performing the
upgrade will also be posted on the Web site.
In order to perform the upgrade, you will need to connect a PC communication cable
P/N N805-1327 to the RS485 port on the side of the 2720 Thermal Cycler (shown
below) to a serial port on a Microsoft Windows
®
-based computer that has Internet
access.
