A data block is given for each reported intruder displaying the type, relative altitude,
and intruder vertical direction as supplied by Traffic Sensor. The data block text color
is the same as the traffic symbol, amber for Traffic Advisory and cyan for proximity and
other traffic (Figure 4-101).
When an intruder’s altitude and vertical speed are available, they are displayed as part
of the on-screen data block. The relative altitude is shown as two digits indicating the
relative altitude difference, in hundreds of feet, from the ownship. The altitude value for
traffic above the ownship is preceded by a plus symbol (+) and is on top of the symbol.
NOTE
Traffic that is within 100 feet of the ownship displays an
altitude value of 00, above or below the traffic symbol
as appropriate.
NOTE
If an intruder is flying level no arrow is shown. If the
intruder is not reporting altitude, neither the arrow or
the altitude indication are shown.
