8.1 Adjusting Damper Pressure

Incorrect Adjusted Damper Pressure
Incorrect adjusted damper pressure can cause serious damage to the equipment.
u Damper pressure adjustments must only be carried out by trained staff.

Precondition
p
Adjustment must be done when not drilling.
1.
Connect a pressure gauge between the nipple for the damper hose and the hose for
the damper hose on the rock drill.
2.
Start the diesel engine and let it run at 1500 rpm.
3.
Check that the adapter goes into "float mode" during drilling. (Constantly pressed out
approximately 4 6 mm from the frame).
4.
Set the remote control in drilling mode , switch (B) position (2). Check that no
other functions are activated.
5.
Fully close the constant flow valve on the machine.
