Replacing the Batteries
The unit uses a battery that has a limited life span. If the battery is used past its life span of two
years, not only will it no longer function, but it may also short the electronic circuits inside or
cause other damages to the battery, which may result in smoke or fire.
If the battery is subjected to a shock, it may also cause smoke or fire. If it happens, stop using
or recharging the battery, and contact your local Atom representative immediately.
When batteries are to be replaced, contact your local Atom representative.

Expected Life
The expected life span of the unit is 4 years from its production date. When using the unit for longer than its
expected life, make sure to perform a comprehensive repair including replacement of parts.

Disposal
The medical institution concerned is responsible for appropriate disposal of the main body, old parts past
their expected life span and disposables in accordance with applicable waste management laws and regula-
tions.
Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and oxygen sensors are used in this unit. Dispose of the batteries and ox-
ygen sensors in accordance with local regulations.
