9.12 8 Relay Outputs
8A – Relay A Function
Options:
Off Relay A is not used.
Ready
The relay is closed when the starter is in
Ready state.
Run (default)
The Run output closes when the soft start is
complete (when the starting current falls
below 120% of the programmed motor full
load current) and remains closed until the
beginning of a stop (either soft stop or coast to
stop).
Warning
The relay closes when the starter issues a
warning (refer to
6 Protection Action on page
82).
Trip
The relay closes when the starter trips (refer
to 6 Protection Action on page 82).
Low Current
Flag
The relay closes when the low current flag
activates while the motor is running (refer to
parameter 8G
Low Current Flag ).
High Current
Flag
The relay closes when the high current flag
activates while the motor is running (refer to
parameter 8H
High Current Flag ).
Motor
Temperature
Flag
The relay closes when the motor temperature
flag activates (refer to parameter 8I
Motor
Temperature Flag
).
Soft Brake Relay
The relay closes when the soft starter
receives a stop signal, and remains closed
until the end of soft brake.
Reversing
Contactor
The relay will control an external contactor,
for reverse operation. Refer to
Reverse
Direction Operation
on page 53 for details.
Description:
Selects the function of Relay A. Relay A is a changeover relay.
8B – Relay A On Delay
Range:
0:00 - 5:00 (minutes:seconds)
Default:
0 second
Description:
Sets the delay for changing the state of Relay A.
