Supplemental Engine Data
While there is constant engine monitoring going on “behind-the-
scenes” in the system that will alert the pilot to engine behavior
requiring immediate pilot attention, there is a means to display
some supplemental engine parameters full time on the PFD. This
is a user-configurable option and when turned on, results in a
digital readout of some engine parameters on the power tape to
the left of the airspeed indicator.
The specific parameters will vary by engine type but for example,
on a single engine normally aspirated piston, the parameters
displayed are:
Manifold Pressure
RPM
Fuel Flow
Oil Temperature
Oil Pressure
