The pilot enters a waypoint in the IDENT field by moving the
cursor there with the outer knob then pressing alphanumeric keys
from the keyboard. There is a dedicated LSK called “PASTE” for
sending the selected waypoint from the 'Flight Plan' to the IDENT
field. Once the waypoint is entered then the outer knob can be
used to move to the lower area of the display. Based on the
"Show" LSK, both the inner and outer right knobs are used to
select frequencies, runways, weather data and calculators.
Additional information on the selected data is shown in the lower
right box based on the cursor selection (e.g. frequency type,
decoded METARs, runway surface type).
For airports there is a Charts LSK that will change tabs to the
chart selection tab for the Info airport.
On this screen, the pilot also has access to the NAV, COM, and
Transponder control LSKs. This screen also features a traffic
depiction thumbnail and a dedicated LSK that controls the view
modes of the TAS function.
