6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Main error sources
The following causes can result in reading errors or unwanted results:
Faulty or poor contact of single-use electrodes during Loop/ Event opera-
tion
Unplugged electrode cable
Incorrectly attached case electrodes during event operation (wrong posi-
tioning, intermittent attachment or incorrect contact pressure)
Missing training recording or setting in the doctor's practice.
Wrong settings
Flat battery or poor quality battery

6.3 Transmission errors
To avoid errors during data transmission, the monitor contains a verification of the
data. If an error occurs, a 12-tone audible signal will sound.
6.4 Checklist
Please verify the following checklist if errors occur during the use of the Beam
®
.
Many errors have simple causes.
Check that the cable in the Loop/Event mode are tightly connected.
Check that the electrodes are correctly attached or pressed on.
Check that a fresh battery is used.
Note: All errors are permanently shown: Only communication errors will be
signalled by a 12 tone audible sound once only after the occurrence of
the error.
