6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Main error sources
The following causes can result in reading errors or unwanted results:
■Faulty or poor contact of single-use electrodes during Loop/ Event opera-
tion
■Unplugged electrode cable
■Incorrectly attached case electrodes during event operation (wrong posi-
tioning, intermittent attachment or incorrect contact pressure)
■Missing training recording or setting in the doctor's practice.
■Wrong settings
■Flat battery or poor quality battery

6.3 Transmission errors
To avoid errors during data transmission, the monitor contains a verification of the
data. If an error occurs, a 12-tone audible signal will sound.
6.4 Checklist
Please verify the following checklist if errors occur during the use of the Beam
®
.
Many errors have simple causes.
■Check that the cable in the Loop/Event mode are tightly connected.
■Check that the electrodes are correctly attached or pressed on.
■Check that a fresh battery is used.
Note: All errors are permanently shown: Only communication errors will be
signalled by a 12 tone audible sound once only after the occurrence of
the error.
