8.2 Important Notes for the Patient
■ Please comply with the instructions of your physician.
■ Stay calm during the reading until the process is finished.
■ The ECG Recorder Beam
®
comes with a cable recognition. Wait for a short
audible signal when plugging in the cable, only then is the cable correctly
plugged in. For the correct positioning you can find a red dot on the plug
and on the case, which belong together. Handle the connection with care –
the plug should slide without much pressure into the port.
■ In normal operational status the ECG recorder will flash green every 2
seconds. If an interference occurs the recorder will issue audible signals.
The following interferences can be remedied by you, if this was previously
discussed with the physician:
• The recorder flashes red every two seconds:
The battery is discharged – replace the battery.
• The recorder flashes red twice every 5 seconds:
One electrode has insufficient contact – check the positioning of the
electrode as shown by the physician.
The following interferences can only be remedied with the assistance of the
physician:
• The recorder flashes red three times every 6 seconds:
The recording memory is full – Contact your physician for the next
steps.
• The recorder flashes red without interruption:
Fatal error – Remove the device and contact your physician for the
next steps.
