18.6 Access port for extra-low voltage (option)
The access port (B) (8-pin) for extra-low voltage (ELV) consists of a LEMO socket (which can be covered)
and a LEMO connector. It is suitable to connect two electrical devices, one inside and one outside the
incubator. You can use it e.g. for devices with a monitoring and control part remaining outside the
incubator, whereas its mechanical component like roller or shaker systems is located inside the chamber.

Maximum power rating 24V AC/DC 2Amp.
WARNING
Overload of contacts.
Damage to contacts and connection socket.
Electrical hazard.
Danger of death.
∅ Do NOT exceed the maximum load of 24V AC/DC 2Amp.
∅ Do NOT connect any devices with a nominal current > 2 Amp.
∅ Do NOT connect any devices with a nominal voltage > 24 V DC.

When introducing a heat load into the inner chamber by inserting electrical devices like shakers or rollers,
the ambient temperature of the incubator must not exceed 25 °C / 77°F. Otherwise, temperature control
to 37 °C / 98.6°F cannot be assured. When operating electrical devices inside the incubator, always
check the desired incubation temperature before introducing in any cells.
