ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM (CONT’D)
Removing And Replacing Oil And Filter
For the service interval for replacing the engine oil and
filter (See SERVICE SCHEDULE on Page 61.)

Remove the access cover (Item 1) [Figure 91] and route
the oil drain hose to a container at the front of the
machine.
Remove the cap from the drain hose (Item 2) [Figure 91]
and drain the oil. Dispose of the used oil in an
environmentally safe manner.
Install cap on the drain hose and push the hose back into
the machine.
Install the access cover.
WARNING
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Always clean up spilled fuel or oil. Keep heat, flames,
sparks or lighted tobacco away from fuel and oil.
Failure to use care around combustibles can cause
explosion or fire.

Open the hood (Item 1). Loosen the thumb nut and open
the access cover (Item 2) [Figure 92] on the left side of
the machine.
Remove the oil filter (Item 3) [Figure 92] (located under
the alternator) and clean the filter housing surface.
Put clean oil on the oil filter gasket. Install the filter and
hand tighten.
WARNING
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Never service or adjust the machine when the engine
is running unless instructed to do so in the manual.
