While the switch is being held in the TEST position:
• illuminates all annunciator lights to full brightness for 10 seconds to check
the bulbs, then dims the lights for the next 20 seconds. If the switch is held
longer than 30 seconds, all annunciator lights that were illuminated prior to
the TEST, go to full brightness.
• all display windows on the MCP blink on for 2 seconds, then off for 1
second and repeat until the TEST switch is released.
AUTO – sets all illuminated annunciator lights to full brightness when the forward
field of view light sensors reach the high ambient lighting limit and returns to
normal when the reset lighting intensity level is reached.
BRT (Bright) – sets all illuminated annunciator lights to full bright (overrides the
automatic system operation).
OFF – the runway turnoff light is extinguished.
ON – the runway turnoff light is illuminated.
OFF – the taxi lights are extinguished.
ON – the taxi lights are illuminated.
Note: The taxi lights do not illuminate when the nose landing gear is not down
and locked. The taxi lights are illuminated when the nose gear landing
lights are ON.
OFF – the white anticollision strobe lights on the tips of each wing and the tailcone
are off.
ON – the strobe lights operate.
