Cabin phones and or handsets (if installed) must be stowed, and the cabin prepared
to satisfy direct view requirements by lowering the passenger seat headrests and
opening the partition viewing window, prior to taxi, takeoff and landing whenever
passengers are carried.
Flight Deck Security Door
# Verify that an operational check of the Flight Deck Access System has been
accomplished according to approved procedures once each flight day. (Refer to
Flight Deck Door Access System Test
in Chapter SP, Section 1, for additional
information.)
Air Systems
Cabin Pressurization
Anti-Ice, Rain
# Engine anti-ice must be ON during all ground operations, and either ON or
AUTO during flight, if icing conditions exist or are anticipated, except when
temperature is below - 40° C OAT. (Refer to Cold Weather Operations
in Chapter
SP, Section 16, for additional information.)
# During ground operations in icing conditions when OAT is 3° C or below, the
engine must be run up momentarily to a minimum of 35% N1 for approximately
60 second duration at intervals no greater than 60 minutes. (Refer to Cold Weather
Operations in Chapter SP, Section 16, for additional information.)
# Do not use anti-ice if OAT or TAT exceeds 10° C.
Autoflight
Autopilot/Flight Director System
# The autopilot must not be engaged below a minimum engage altitude of 200 feet
AGL after takeoff.
# The autopilot must be disengaged before the airplane descends more than 50 feet
below the MDA unless it is coupled to an ILS glideslope and localizer or in the
go–around mode.
# Without LAND 2 or LAND 3 annunciated, the autopilot must be disengaged
below 200 feet AGL.
Maximum differential pressure (relief valves) 9.4 psi
Maximum allowable cabin pressure differential for takeoff and
landing
0.11 psi
