• Perform the steps on both
sides in parallel.
1. Fix the chain tensioner.
2. Drag the new chain

a pull-in aid.

) Observe the running direction
of the chain, see page 39.

) Lubricate the side of the fl at
top chain, see page 39.
3. UM 2/…-60:
Hold the end of the chain
vertically and insert the
sliding piece (D) into the
return head (B).
UM 2/…-170:
Place the chain around
the return wheel (C) and
place the return wheel
in the return head (B).
Mount the sliding
piece (E) into the
return head.
4. Drag the chain in the
top guide profi le to the
drive head.
Please note:
For the next assembly step,
you need a helper or a lift
aid.
