4.1 Pointer Cranial/ENT with Blunt Tip
Introduction
The Pointer Cranial/ENT with Blunt Tip (53106) is a pointer and bundle set, consisting of the
Pointer, Blunt Tip (41780-5) and the Gauge for Pointer Sharp Tip (41780-10). The pointer is a
precalibrated instrument and is used:
To perform pointer-based patient registration
To verify that registration accuracy is maintained
To verify the accuracy of acquired fluoroscopic images

Each pointer comes with a gauge that serves to prevent pointer damage and ensure maximum
accuracy. If the pointer is undamaged, the tip aligns with the corresponding counter pin on the
pointer gauge.
Warning
The accuracy of the pointer has to be checked using the pointer gauge before use.
Always store the pointer in the appropriate gauge.
