Introduction
The Vario Reference Arm for Mayfield Headholder (52001) creates a flexible and extended
attachment of the Standard Cranial Reference Array onto the Mayfield Modified Skull Clamp.

How to Attach the Array to the Reference Arm

Step
1. Attach the unsterile Standard Cranial Reference Array ⑤ to the array connector ③, se-
curing it with the fixation nut ④.
2. To position the array, turn the central tension handle ② clockwise to loosen it.
3. Adjust the arm ① to the desired position and securely re-tighten the handle by turning it
counterclockwise.
Loosening the Arm
Warning
Never loosen the central tension handle without gripping the articulated arm with your
other hand. The Vario Reference Arm could fall on the patient.
