21 Perform Monthly Test (H1)
The FT1020G3 and the building must be tested on a regular basis, please refer to the
Australian Maintenance standard AS1851 for details regarding monthly, quarterly and
annual test.
In test mode, only the alarm points are tested, i.e. no outputs (no OWS or sounders) will
be activated during the test. (Alarm devices can be tested via menu H8/S4.)
If a real fire alarm is activated by an alarm point not in test mode, the normal fire alarm
functions will be activated, i.e. fire alarm presentation, outputs (sounders or OWS)
activated, routing equipment (Fire Brigade TX) activated, etc.
Note: If FT128 door is left open, the output(s) for external strobe or alarm bell might be
disabled (if set in EBLWin).

"Access", see page 33.

The zone(s) will remain in test mode until the test mode is terminated. The test mode is terminated in
this menu or automatically one hour after the latest alarm test.
You will be automatically logged out 15 minutes after the latest "action" (using any of the keys) but the
zone(s) will remain in test mode until the test mode is terminated, see above.
Perform the test as quickly as possible, since the output(s) for routing equipment (Fire Brigade TX) are
disabled (also the parts of the zones in test mode, not visible for the test personnel, are disabled).
In order to shorten the testing time, any time delay for the detectors / zones in test mode will be "disabled",
i.e. fire alarm will be detected faster than normal conditions.
In the tested alarm point, the built-in LED will illuminate and the LEDs "Fire" (L1) in the FDCIE will illuminate
for approx. 10 seconds, then the alarm point will be automatically reset. The printer, if available, will print out
every tested alarm point (Zone: xxx Address: xx Time: HH.MM).
A detector in test mode is not able to generate a fault.
