u Tap the name of the method that you wish to edit.
ð The display shows the view Method.
u Tap the function [ Edit ] on the function bar.
u Tap the action [ Enable analyt protection ].
6.6.5 Setting the inert gas (option) (Soxhlet, Soxhlet Warm, Continuous, Hot and
Twisselmann Extraction only)
Enabling the action [ Inert gas ] enables the following actions:
Action Description
[ Inert gas Extraction ] Activating the checkbox enables the inert
gas during the extraction steps.
[ Inert gas Rinse ] Activating the checkbox enables the inert
gas during the rinse step.
[ Inert gas Drying ] Activating the checkbox enables the inert
gas during the drying step.

u Navigate to the [ Method ] menu via the navigation path.
u Tap the name of the method that you wish to edit.
ð The display shows the view Method.
u Tap the function [ Edit ] on the function bar.
u Tap the action [ Inert gas ].
6.6.6 Setting the extraction time of a method
The extraction time and the number of extraction cycles are interdependent.
If the number of extraction cycles is set to zero, the extraction will finish after the
selected time.
If the extraction time is set to zero, the extraction will finish after the number of ex-
traction cycles is reached.
If the extraction time and a number of extraction cycles is set, the extraction will fin-
ish once both settings are fulfilled.
The duration of the extraction step is selectable from 0 to 99 h.
