9 Cleaning and servicing
NOTE
Users may only carry out the servicing and cleaning operations described in this sec-
tion.
Any servicing and repair work which involves opening up the casing may only be car-
ried out by BUCHI service technicians.
9.1 Regular maintenance work
CAUTION
Hot surfaces.
Skin burns from hot surfaces.
u Let the instrument cool down sufficiently before carrying out any maintenance
work.

Glass parts u Check all glass parts for defects.
u If defective, replace defect glass parts

Sealings NOTICE!Do not clean in dishwasher.
u Check all sealings for scratches and
other defects.
u If defective or damaged, replace the
sealing.

Magnetic valve u Check all magnetic valves for leaks.
u If leaking, change the membrane with
anchor. See Chapter9.4 "Changing
the membrane with anchor",

Heating plate u Wipe down the heating plate with a
damp cloth.
u If heavily soiled, use ethanol or a mild
detergent.
u If cracked or broken, contact BUCHI
customer service

Hoses and hose
connections
u Check the hoses and hose connec-
tions for defects (cracks, brittle ar-
eas).
u If defective, replace defect hoses.

Housing u Wipe down the housing with a damp
cloth.
u If heavily soiled, use ethanol or a mild
detergent.
