34 Copying Chapter 3
Using Custom Copy Ratios
In addition to making reduction and enlargement decisions using preset copy ratios, you can make
reduction and enlargement decisions in custom 1% increments.
Follow this procedure:
4 Use [W] or [X] to select the copy ratio.
– <25% MIN.>: Reduces the document to 25% when copying.
– <95% A4→LTR>: Reduces an A4-size document to letter size when copying.
– <100%>: Does not change the document size when copying.
– <170% 5"
×7"→LTR>: Enlarges a 5" × 7" document to letter size when copying.
– <212% 4"
×6"→LTR>: Enlarges a 4" × 6" document to letter size when copying.
– <400% MAX.>: Enlarges the document to 400% when copying.
NOTE
Pressing the numeric keys while setting the preset copy ratio switches to the custom copy ratio
(zoom copy) setting.
5 Press [Set].
1 Press [COPY].
2 Press [Menu] once until <1.ENLARGE/REDUCE> appears.
3 Use [W] or [X] to select <ZOOM>.
4 Press [Set].
5 Use [W] or [X] to select a copy ratio between 25% and 400%, or enter the
ratio using the numeric keys.
•Pressing [W] decreases the copy ratio, and pressing [X] increases the ratio.
• Press and hold down the [W] or [X] to quickly advance through the ratios.
6 Press [Set].
