Runinperiodofanewmachine
Yourmachinewilllastlonger,givebetterandmoreeconomicalperformance,ifyoupayparticularattentiontothe
engineduringtheinitialrun-inperiod.
Duringthisperiod:
•
Warmuptheenginebeforeusingitunderload.
•
Donotoperatetheengineatmaximumpowerforprolongedperiodsoftime.
•
Donotworktheenginehardatstallspeeds(tracksstoppedandtheenginerunningatfullthrottle).
•
Donotruntheengineforalongperiodatidlespeed.
•
Frequentlychecktheinstrumentsontheinstrumentpanel.
•
Checktheoillevelsandcoolantlevelfrequently.
•
Duringtherun-inperiod,certainchecksandservicingoperationsshouldbecarriedoutinadditiontothosespecied
intheserviceschedule.
NOTICE:Forturbochargedengines,onlyshuttheenginedownfromthelowidlepositiontopreventdamagetothe
turbocharger.
Trackshoebolts
Checkthetrackshoebolttorqueaftertherst20hoursofoperationwhenthemachineisneworifthetrackshoes
havebeenremoved.Checkthetrackshoebolttorqueevery100hoursofoperationthereafteruntilthetrackshoe
boltsremaintight.T orqueto610-670N·m(450-494lbft)forthestandardlinkboltsand610-670N·m(450-494lb
ft)forthemasterlinkbolts.Donotovertightenthetrackshoebolts.
