Anerrorconnectingauxiliarystartingcablesorshort-circuitingbatteryterminalscancauseanacci-
dent.Connectauxiliarystartingcablesasinstructedinthismanual.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

Boosterbatteriesorjumpercablesmustbeconnectedproperlytopreventbatteryexplosionand/or
damagetotheelectricalsystem.Connectpositivetopositiveandnegativetonegative.

Prioroperation:
Keepallunauthorizedpersonnelclearofthearea.Shiftthemachinetoneutralwiththeparkingbrakeapplied,and
theattachmentloweredtotheground.
Makesurethatthevoltageoftheboosterbatteriesis
thesameasthatofthemachinesystem(24volts).
1.Turnofftheignitionandallaccessoriesonthema-
chine(s).
2.Removethebatteryterminalcover.
3.Connectoneendofthepositive(+)cabletothepositive
(+)terminalontheboosterbattery.Connecttheother
endofthepositive(+)cabletothepositive(+)terminal
ofthedischargedbattery.
4.Connectthenegative(-)cabletothenegative(-)termi-
nalontheboosterbattery.
5.Connecttheotherendofthenegativecabletotheen-
gineblockorframeofthemachinewiththedischarged
battery.Donotconnectthenegativecabletosheet
metaloranyrotatingpart,asdamagecanresult.Do
notconnecttothenegativeterminalonthebattery.
6.Starttheengine.
7.Alwaysremovetheboosterbatterynegative(-)cable
fromthemachinerst,thenfromtheboosterbattery.
Removethepositive(+)cablefromthemachineand
thenfromtheboosterbattery.
NOTICE:Donotconnectboosterbatterycablestosheetmetaloranyrotatingpart,asdamagecanresult.
