Useanti-freezeinallseasonstoprotectthecoolingsys-
temfromcorrosionandriskoffreezing.Forareaswhere
theambienttemperatureisover-36°C(-32.8°F),usea
blendof50%ethylene-glycolbasedanti-freeze.
Forareaswherethetemperatureisbelow-36°C
(-32.8°F),itisadvisabletouseablendof40%water
and60%anti-freeze.

Usedieselfuelsuitablefortheambienttemperaturecon-
ditions.
UsefuelwhichistoAmericanSocietyforT estingandMa-
terialsASTMD975standard.
UsegradeNo.2fuel.Theuseofothertypesoffuelcan
resultinalossofpoweroftheengineandmaycausehigh
fuelconsumption.
Inverylowambienttemperatures,useamixtureoffuels
No.1andNo.2asnecessary.Consultyourfuelsupplier
forappropriatefuelsupply.
Ifthetemperaturefallsbelowthefuelcloudpoint(point
atwhichwaxbeginstoform),thewaxcrystalswillcause
powerlossorwillpreventtheenginefromstarting.
Incoldweather,llthefueltankattheendoftheday's
workinordertopreventtheformationofcondensation.
Fuelstorage
Prolongedstorageoffuelcanleadtotheaccumulationof
impuritiesandcondensationinthefuel.Engineproblems
canoftenbetracedtothepresenceofwaterinthefuel.
Thestoragetankmustbeplacedoutside,andthetemper-
atureofthefuelshouldbekeptaslowaspossible.Drain
offwaterandimpuritiesregularly.

isrecommendedforyourengine.Thisoilin-
surescorrectlubricationofyourengineinallworking
conditions.Seechartsatthebeginningofthissectionto
