15. Maintenance
15.1 Maintenance of bill device
The bills validator bases its functioning mainly in optic recognition of the bills and uses the
mechanics for the transportation. The optical system is based on sensors, lenses and
crystals that get dirty because of the dust and dirtiness accumulated on bills, as well as the
dirtiness of the environment. The mechanical components, such as wheels, belts etc., used
for transportation of bills during the validation process as well accumulate dirt, grease and
dirtiness.
These conditions can provoke diminished recognizing that results in rejection of the bills or
jams of bills. In order to prevent this, it is important to carry out the maintenance using
cleaning cards that cleans the lenses, belts and rollers inside the validator.
The frequency of the cleaning depends on the volume of bills accepted by CashDro3. It is
recommended to use the cleaning card once a week for a correct maintenance.
Maintenance procedure.
Activate CashDro3 for accepting bills in the
option "Load".
Insert the cleaning card in the bills validator.
The card will be accepted and expelled
automatically.
Repeat this operation until the card gets dry.
NOTE: It is possible that during the process the validator change the color. Wait several
seconds until the humidity in the bills validator cease and continue the operation.
The cleaning process must be done repeatedly until the card have captured the dirtiness of
the bill device and have totally dried.
