Note: The START/STOP key can be used to pause the method during operation.
18. When the dwell time is complete, several audible beeps will be heard, signaling
the end of the programmed time.
WARNING
To prevent the possibility of serious burns, ensure that insulated
gloves and protective gear as outlined in the users safety program
are worn and metal tongs are used to insert and remove sample con-
tainers from the ashing furnace.
19. Open the instrument door. Remove the furnace door and place it in the furnace
door holder.
20. Using metal tongs, remove the crucible(s) containing the sample(s) from the
ashing furnace.
21. Install the furnace door and close the instrument door.
22. Press the “balance” key.

24. Using the arrow keys, highlight the desired sample identi cation. Press the
SELECT key.
Edit Sample ID
ENTER NEW ID
FINAL WEIGHT
ERASE ID
SELECT ANALYSIS % ASH
23. Using the arrow keys, highlight Final Weight. Press the SELECT key.
