Error Messages
The “Magnetron Overload” error message indicates that the magnetron has, for some
reason, overheated. The procedure in progress is terminated. The magnetron is turned
off and all fans are turned on to cool the instrument. Open the instrument door; leave
the furnace door in place, and permit the instrument to cool down to ambient (room)
temperature. Once the instrument is cool, turn the instrument off and contact the
CEM Service Department.

The “Furnace Thermocouple Error” message indicates that the thermocouple is
unable to measure and control the temperature of the furnace. The procedure in
progress is terminated. Permit the instrument to cool to ambient (room) temperature
prior to turning power off to instrument. Contact the CEM Service Department.

This “Calibration Error” is displayed if previous calibration values for the furnace
and/or exhaust are entered incorrectly. Press any key on the numeric keyboard to
escape the error screen. Enter or re-enter calibration values. The “Run Error” mes-
sage indicates that, for some reason, the furnace thermocouple values have been lost.
Press any key on the numeric keyboard to escape the error screen. Either enter the
previous furnace calibration values or calibrate the furnace thermocouple.
