Calibration
The circuitry of the furnace thermocouple can be calibrated using the software
calibration procedures and the CEM calibration instrument (part number 271060).
Calibration of the thermocouple is required if the instrument software or the thermo-
couple is replaced. If calibration data is lost for other reasons, the previous calibration
parameters can be entered, and calibration will not be required.

1. With the CEM Method Menu displayed, press the SETUP key.

2. Using the arrow keys, highlight Calibration. Press the SELECT key.

Furnace Temperature Calibration
Note: To enter previous calibration values, proceed to step 18.
3. Remove the screw in the thermocouple access door on top of the instrument
cover and remove the access door.
4. Disconnect the thermocouple plug from the thermocouple wiring connector.
5. Install the connector of the CEM calibration instrument into the thermocouple
wiring connector.
6. Using the arrow keys, highlight Furnace Temperature Calibration. Press the
SELECT key.
