Verifying the Phone Startup Process
After the Cisco IP Phone has power connected to it, the phone begins its startup
process by cycling through these steps:
1. These buttons flash on and off in sequence:
– Headset (on Cisco IP Phone models 7960 and 7940 only)
– Mute
– Speaker
2. The LCD screen displays the Cisco Systems, Inc., copyright screen.

2 Wall mounting screw holes
3 Adjustment plate—Raises and lowers phone vertically
