This example shows how to configure Local Proxy ARP:
switch# config t
switch(config)# interface ethernet 2/3
switch(config-if)# ip local-proxy-arp
switch(config-if)# copy running-config startup-config
Configuring Gratuitous ARP
You can configure gratuitous ARP on an interface.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Ensure that you are in the correct VDC (or use the switchto vdc command).
SUMMARY STEPS
1. config t
2. interface ethernet number
3. ip arp gratuitous {request | update}
4. copy running-config startup-config
DETAILED STEPS
Step 3
ip local-proxy-arp
Example:
switch(config-if)# ip local-proxy-arp
Enables Local Proxy ARP on the interface.
Step 4
copy running-config startup-config
Example:
switch(config-if)# copy running-config
startup-config
(Optional) Saves this configuration change.
