3.2.2.3 Hoisting Safety Measures
WARNING:
Safety measures MUST be followed to prevent personal injury or equipment damage.
Before and during hoisting:
Strengthen the management of the construction site.
Set up a warning area on the hoisting site.
Send full-time safety personnel to supervise and alert.
Non-operation personnel are strictly prohibited from entering.
Carefully complete the preparatory work before lifting, prepare machinery and heavy lifting rigging according to the plan
requirements.
Strictly implement the performance inspections for the lifting equipment, lifting rigging inspection, pre-lifting checks, and
lifting procedures to ensure safe and reliable lifting.
Detailed technical disclosure must be made to ALL personnel participating in the construction operation in advance to
ensure they understand the essential procedures and requirements of the operation.
After the crane enters the site, the crane driver will be given a detailed introduction to the hoisting scheme and the unified
command signals will be clearly defined.
Crane position operation and walking route must be carried out according to the requirements of the hoisting scheme and
the outrigger pad must be safe and reliable.
Special subgrade box cushion must be used under the leg to expand the unit force surface.
Crane lifting operation must be smooth and slow.
Pay attention to any movement of the crane’s supportive legs during lifting and operation.
Communication between the site lead and the crane driver must be timely and reliable.
The command signal, flag language, and gestures must be clearly communicated and understood.
If abnormal conditions are found, the site lead of the lifting site must be informed in time, so as to take effective measures
as soon as possible.
It is strictly prohibited to lift if the wind reaches Beaufort scale level 5 or above, while there is thunder, when it is raining, or
if there is fog.
Construction personnel entering the hoisting operation site must strictly implement the safety rules and regulations of the
site and wear PPE and safety helmets according to these rules and regulations.
The hoisting operation must be completed under unified command.
Operation personnel must fulfill their duties, cooperate closely, and ensure that the hoisting operation is completed safely
and smoothly.
