3.3 Lifting Using Forklift
If the ground of the installation site is flat, forklifts may be used to carry the ESS. The bottom of the ESS is designed with
standard forklift pockets. When lifting and transporting the ESS with a forklift, insert forks into the forklift pockets at the bottom
of the cabinet and move the ESS to an appropriate position for installation.
WARNING:
The forklift must be fully inserted into the forklift pockets of the cabinet when lifting the ESS.
INSTRUCTION:
Plugging or sealing the forklift pockets after installation is not required.

The following conditions must be met when using forklifts to lift the ESS:
The forklift must have sufficient carrying capacity (at least 3 tons).
The forklift arms must be inserted into the full depth of the forklift holes, i.e., a length of at least 66.9 in (1700 mm).
Check to make sure forklift can move slowly and smoothly when lifting, lowering, and moving.
The ESS must be installed on solid and flat ground with good drainage and no obstacles or protrusions, and must be
supported only by the base.
