3.2.3 Ambient Thermal Insulation
The battery system must stay within the range of optimum operating temperature to extend the battery service life and improve
the battery safety performance. The temperature range must completely comply with the specified storage temperature range
and operating temperature range (see Section 7.1 Datasheet). The installation space of the battery system must be well-
ventilated and designed for thermal insulation.
3.2.4 Fastening the Cabinets
Install the lifting slings into the four lifting lugs on the battery or PCS cabinet to move the units to the installation location and
check the lifting lugs after hoisting.
Figure 3-3 ESS Lifting (Left: Battery Cabinet, Right: PCS Cabinet)
When lifting the ESS, the following procedures must be followed:
The cabinets must only be lifted vertically and ensure the gravity center of the battery rack is kept stable during lifting
process. Do not drag or push the cabinets horizontally.
Once the cabinet is lifted 11.8 in (300 mm) above the supporting surface, pause and check the connection between the
lifting equipment and the cabinet. Confirm the connection is firm before resuming lifting.
The ESS must be placed gently and smoothly in place. Do NOT move the cabinets by swinging the lifting equipment.
Install the ESS on a solid and flat surface with good drainage and no obstructions or protrusions.
Slings with clevis hooks can be used to lift the ESS. The lifting clamp must be connected securely to the ESS cabinet.
