3.4 Inspection
The CPS ES series products go through thorough factory testing before shipment and delivery. However, there is a possibility
that the units or components may be damaged during shipment. Therefore, when the units are delivered, the following must be
checked:
1. Ensure the components and quantity delivered to the site match the BOL.
2. Check every component listed in Tables 4-1 and 4-2 to ensure they are intact and have no physical damage.
NOTICE:
Installation and commissioning must only be carried out after confirming that the ESS and internal equipment
are in good condition.
3.5 Product Storage Requirements
The following conditions must be met if the ESS is not installed and commissioned for a long period of time after delivery:
Store the battery rack in a place without harmful gases, flammable or explosive products, or corrosive chemicals nearby.
Keep the battery rack away from mechanical impact, heavy pressure, and magnetic fields.
The battery cabinet must be stored in a cool and dry location.
The cabinets must be stored in an environment with temperatures between -13°F and 131°F (-25°C and 55°C) and with
humidity below 95% RH without condensation.
NOTE: The recommended storage environment temperature range is 68°F to 86°F (20°C to 30°C).
The battery SOC must be kept at 50% or higher if more than three (3) months have passed after delivery and the system
has not yet been installed and commissioned.
The batteries must not be recharged more than three (3) times before installation and commissioning.
The doors of the battery cabinet must be kept closed when batteries are operating (e.g., during charging and discharging)
to prevent exposure to hazardous high voltage.
The battery cabinets must not be stored within 78.7 in (2 m) of any heat sources.
WARNING:
Make sure hazardous high voltage and energy inside the equipment has been discharged before servicing.
Never touch the live conductors, which can cause serious injury or death.
