Adjusting the wheel bearing play
1. Use a socket wrench (A), special tool (DAF
no. 0535832), to remove the lock nut from
the axle journal.
2. Remove the lock plate and the circlip from
the axle journal.

3. Use an adjusting spanner (A), special tool
(DAF no. 0694783), t o slacken the adjusting
nut (1) one turn.

4. Place a torque wrench on the adjusting
spanner. Tighten the adjusting nut to a
tightening torque of 100 Nm, while turning
the hub.
