Manual DEHLER 39

4.10 Pump toilet
The on-board toilet is a commercially available pump toilet. Without a holding tank, the fresh
water inlet gets opened and the contents are pumped off through the outlet valve. See also the
instructions for use of the supplier.
4.10.1 Holding tank (optional)
The 45 l holding tank is made of stainless steel plate and serves as an intermediate storage
system“. The pump toilet can be used approx. 8 times. A regular control via the switch board
is necessary so that the ventilation pipe does nor get clogged. If possible, the tank should be
sucked at every waste water pump station or only exceptionally be emptied outside of bays or
harbours (normally when you are sailing with the engine). Therefore you should open the
discharge valve.
4.10.2 Emptying of the tank
Where waste water pump stations are available, the tank contents should be sucked off
through the standardized deck screw (1).
