5.2 Active fire protection
The well-known risk sources on-
board are
• the cooking stove in the pantry
and the engine room
If in spite of all protection
measures you get a fire on-board,
you have at your disposal two fire
extinguishers, installed by you or by
the shipyard at the marked points:
Nr. 1 Foam fire extinguisher
under the navigation seat

Nr. 2 Foam fire extinguisher in
the locker at the front bulkhead wall
on starboard

Under the second
companion way step you´ll find an
opening.
In case of fire, a fire in the
engine room can be
extinguished through this
opening

Remove grey closing valve.
put the snout of the fire extinguisher into the opening...

HINT
In addition you may install in the pantry a light fire-
extinguishing ceiling , made of glass fibre and for example
highly effective in case of fires caused by overheated fat..
No oxygen>no fire.
