TCP Socketsfor TCP client (Automatic Connection): In a TCPclient configuration, the
Digi device server automatically establishes a TCPconnection to an application or
network device. See Automatic TCPconnections (Automatic Connection) for more
information.
To assign a TCPClient (Automatic Connection) profile to a serial port:
a. Under TCP Client Settings, select the Automatically establish
TCP connectionscheck box.
b. Select the Connect option that describeswhen theTCP connection will be
initiated.
c. Type the IPaddressor DNSname of thedestination server in the Server
(name or IP) field.
d. Select one of the following optionsfrom the Service drop-down list:

Raw TCP
l
Rlogin
l
Secure Sockets
l
Telnet
l
SSH
