Engine shutdown in the event of a
motorbike rollover
This system is designed to stop the engine in case of
motorbike rollover being detected for a
amount of time. The purpose of the system is to limit
the likelihood of engine damage in the event of a
rollover (e.g. due to a lack of oil pick-up). If the
engine is switched by this system then, in the
absence of any other damage, to the engine
simply reset the motorbike from the rollover
condition, wait a few seconds and then turn the key
(
) and back on ( ).
In case of damage to the vehicle, the system
may shut down and fail to stop the engine.
The system may not always guarantee accurate
rollover detection.
It is only possible to the engine if the
appropriate safety conditions are met.
