Adjusting the rear shock absorber
The rear shock absorber has external controls that
enable you to adjust the in order to suit the
load on the motorcycle.
The adjuster (1), located on the shock absorber upper
connection, adjusts the damping during the
compression phase.
The adjuster (2), located on the lower mount which
fastens the shock absorber to the swinging arm,
adjusts the damping during the rebound phase
(return).
Turn adjusters (1) or (2) clockwise to the
damping, or counter clockwise to it.
The damping is obtained with the
adjusters (1) and (2) turned fully clockwise to the fully
closed position.
from this position, turning anticlockwise,
you can count the various turns of the adjusters.
The knob (3), located on the side of the
motorcycle, adjusts the preload of the shock
absorber external spring.
Turn knob (3) clockwise to increase preload, or
anticlockwise to decrease it.
By turning the knob (3) fully anticlockwise, the fully
unloaded position is obtained.
