If the air is too strong, double-feed will occur. If too weak, miss feed will occur.
• Touching the separating air check mode area and turning the check mode ON allows paper feed to be
checked by actually sending air after completing paper feed preparations.
The check mode of the separating air functions only for bins stacked with paper.
• When towers A and B are connected, they cannot be adjusted simultaneously.
• If necessary, you can adjust the separating air for each paper feed bin individually. For details on
changing the separating air for each paper feed bin, refer to “Separating Air Strength Individual Set-
tings”.
• When double-feed or miss feed occurs frequently in the middle of collating, adjust amount of the sep-
arating air or pickup air again.
Separating Air Strength Individual Settings
Used for setting the strength of the separating air for each paper feed bin according to the paper used in
collation operations.
At shipment, this will be set to all paper feed bins “3”.
If towers are connected, set for each tower individually.
